12/2/2023 0 Comments Six senses yao noi pool![]() From the pool you have a real breath-taking view over Krabi. Very special is also the stunning Infinity Pool for which Six Senses Yao Noi is known. Thus, the hotel is really something special □ Als the German hotel manager and the sweet PR manager welcomed us so openly that we felt just like being home! The entire atmosphere at the resort is very warm. ![]() We had our own butler which was a pearl and turned all of our wishes into reality (such as a foam bath). We also recognized very positively the great Service of the Six Senses Yao Noi employees. We loved most our infinity pool, the outside shower and the bathtub with a view □ When we entered our villa and saw the view from there for the first time we almost couldn’t speak anymore □ Our villa was not only from the outside stuning but also from the inside. We very extremely lucky having been able to stay in the most likely most beautiful villa of the entore resort: An Ocean Panorama Pool Villa. The island is very tropical and the resort is simply stunning! Upon arrival we felt like being in another world. We stayed beforehand in Phuket so we took the speedboat from there to Six Senses Yao Noi which was only around 20 minutes. The hotel is located on the island Yao Noi which you can reach easily from either Phuket or Krabi. The secret to Yao Noi’s sustainability credentials, it is equipped with on-site glass crushing and recycling, candle making from leftover wax, composting and water filtration, so the hotel’s zero-waste-future feels more tangible each visit. We’ve visited many hotels during our Thailand trip but one of our favorites (or maybe even our favorite in entire Thailand) was the Six Senses Yao Noi Resort. When a front-and-centre commitment to eco-consciousness transcends to an environmental passion, there’s few things left to do but shout about it, which Six Senses does in the form of their Earth Lab. Not that you would know from the sheer size of it, but this is a residence made for just two, where 360˚ panoramas over one of the world’s most iconic bays come together with a private cinema, bedroom waterfall and pool shack. While all villas benefit from a sunrise-facing advantage, the best are found, unsurprisingly, at The View. The thatched roof and sturdy stilts make each room feel like a fantastical grown-up tree house. From the carefully considered open-plan indoor/outdoor living linked by wood walkways that wind through the foliage, over ponds, and around waterfalls to the unique pieces of furniture that pepper the interiors (made on-site in the carpentry with locally harvested timber of course), everything here has a purpose. There’s an elegance born of simplicity in the rooms. Favouring artisans, farmers, fishermen and suppliers who live nearby, an on-site carpentry workshop employs 16 school leavers, while the hotel’s pastry chef is a local who has been serving up his creations for more than a decade. Local wellness concerns, educational funding and growing businesses are consistently taken into consideration here. This is a place that cares, not just about the environment or wildlife on the island (that too, Six Senses are responsible for restoring Koh Yao Noi’s population of rare hornbills), but about those who call it home. Jutting out across the horizon, their mesmerising configurations are all you’re able to focus on during the 45 minute speedboat journey to the island (and the rest of your stay). An alluring untouched island mid-way between Phuket and Krabi, no matter where you are at here it feels as though a glimpse of Phang Nga’s foliage-crowned edifices are always around the corner. Location was definitely on the brain when Six Senses Yao Noi was designed.
